The Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati is the first point-of-contact for any company looking to locate to or expand within the 15-county Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) of southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana, otherwise referred to as the Cincinnati region. An award-winning organization, REDI Cincinnati’s purpose is to unite the region to compete globally to bring job creation and capital investment to the region. We are the JobsOhio Network Partner for southwest Ohio.
SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for representing the Cincinnati region while assisting companies in their location decisions to facilitate job creation and capital investment. This process includes coordinating regional responses in various areas including, but not limited to, sites and infrastructure, education and talent, financial incentives, and other regional assets. Key activities include understanding project scope, aggregating metrics, identifying regional support and resources, preparing project pitch requests, and negotiating financial incentives. Working in the day-to-day details with a small but powerful team is the top priority for this role. Building relationships with local economic developers, state officials, site consultants and company executives is also imperative. This is an external-facing position interacting and building relationships with REDI investors, prospects and community leaders locally and on a national scale. Project Managers are also expected to assist in executing the business retention and expansion program and limited business development support as needed.

This person can collaborate in a team environment and will be responsible for supporting the Vice President, Project Management by managing the day-to-day tasks and accountability of project advancement. The Project Manager is comfortable working under deadlines and busy schedules and has a proven record of influencing others. The ideal candidate is proactive, assertive, hard-working and likes to win.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Project Management. Deliver economic development projects to successful completion in alignment with strategic and operational goals through planning, coordinating, and managing organizational resources to achieve desired project outcomes. Control project scope by gaining initial alignment with stakeholders. Identify project risks/issues and identify ways of reducing or solving issues.
- CRM/database management. Ensure the Customer Relationship Management system is robust, accurate, and complete for business.
- Metrics/performance reporting. Ensure managed portfolio is accurate for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual aggregation of metric and performance reporting. Continuously monitor progress, and work with team to adjust efforts against key performance indicators. Support preparation of annual plan of service for JobsOhio. Present relevant metrics to various stakeholder groups.
- Cross functional Support. Support the business development efforts as outlined by REDI Cincinnati’s business development strategy. This includes support of REDI Cincinnati’s Business Retention & Expansion program.
- Stakeholder engagement. Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with stakeholders—including JobsOhio, investors, higher education institutions, community leaders, local economic developers, existing companies, multipliers and elected officials—to assist in meeting organization goals for job creation, payroll commitments, capital investment and business retention and expansion visits.
- Team player. Support the rest of the organization—business development, operations, research and marketing—as outlined by REDI Cincinnati’s departmental plans.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based in downtown Cincinnati and requires in-office work Monday through Thursday. The role may also require occasional off-campus meetings, community engagements, and evening events as needed.
SALARY & COMPENSATION
Annual Salary: $56,500 – $76,500
