We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in community and economic development to fill the full-time position of Community Development Director. The position provides general staff oversight and budget management of the Community Development Department which includes the offices of the Building & Zoning Administrator, City Engineer and City Planner.
The Chief Planner (CP) is responsible for the city’s planning functions and for administering the city’s planning and adhering to zoning codes and procedures. The (CP) supervises and participates in advanced, highly-complex professional planning and development activities. the (CP) manages and supervises the department’s City Planning Division.
Directing the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to economic development programming, relationship management, and economic development project and program administration. Reports to the City Manager.
The City of Grandview Heights seeks to add another motivated, energetic individual to complement our existing Planning and Community Development staff. Under the supervision of the Director of Planning and Community Development, the Planning and Community Development Specialist will assist with planning, community development, zoning and economic development matters, initiatives and projects.
