Economic Development Administrator – Union County-Marysville Economic Development Partnership
Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Union County Community Improvement Corporation, the Economic Development Administrator shall manage the daily coordination of economic development services, organizational management, and administrative functions. This person also oversees downtown revitalization efforts, community development efforts, marketing and communication plan implementation, assisting with programs related to business creation and entrepreneurship, and research studies and analyses. The Economic Development Administrator shall also provide general administrative support to the CIC Board of Trustees, Marysville-Union County Port Authority (MUCPA) and the various committees.
Executive Director – Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission
Under the direction of the OVRDC Executive Committee, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of the agency, its services and programs; for overall supervision and coordination of agency staff; for overall coordination of agency grant and other contract requirements, plans, documents and reports; for representing the agency at public meetings, conferences and in membership associations; and for acting as the primary representative of the agency in negotiating with other governments, organizations and associations and signing contracts on behalf of OVRDC.
City, Port Authority Announce Infrastructure Project
Details were recently finalized between the City of Wilmington, the Clinton County Port Authority and the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) (formerly the Ohio Development Services Agency) for the use of a $1.1 million grant in support of repairs to Airborne Road.
Northwest State Community College, OhioMeansJobs-Hancock County, City Mission, and Fostoria Learning Center Partner for a Pathway out of Poverty
Northwest State Community College is excited to announce a collaboration with OhioMeansJobs-Hancock County and the City Mission to offer an Introduction to Welding program at the Fostoria Learning Center. This program will provide seven individuals from the City Mission the opportunity to earn valuable welding skills and an OSHA 10-hour certification. This program is designed to provide a pathway for skill attainment, employment with a livable wage, and ultimately a pathway out of homelessness and poverty.
$1.2 million in Clean Ohio funds allocated for Lucas County green space and water projects
The Clean Ohio Fund has allocated more than $1.2 million for projects that will conserve green space and protect bodies of water in Lucas County. Potential applicants are encouraged to attend a meeting December 9 to learn more.
