Middletown, Ohio, located along Interstate 75 halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton with a population of more than 50,000, is seeking a visionary Economic Development Director. The Director will report to the Assistant City Manager and work closely with the City of Middletown Port Authority. Position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of programs and plans related to the economic revitalization of the city; developing and leading specific job growth strategies in retention and attraction; serving as liaison for various community development projects; responsible for city workforce development efforts; and overseeing the small business development assistance program.

The legislation requires Ohio’s universities and colleges to guarantee intellectual diversity in the classroom and among faculty; free speech protections; no required diversity equity or inclusion courses or training for students; and full syllabus transparency.
