Nauseef and Hill to Keynote Ohio Basic Economic Development Course
The Ohio Economic Development Association has announced JP Nauseef and Dr. Ned Hill as the keynote presenters for the upcoming Ohio Basic Economic Development Course, April 29-May 2, in Dublin, Ohio. JP Nauseef, the President and CEO of JobsOhio, which has been described as the “best in class state economic development partnership,” will welcome the Basic Course students and Keynote the course. OEDA Announces 2024 Economic Development Basic & Core Courses
The Ohio Economic Development Institute (OEDI) has announced the 2024 schedule of economic development Basic and Core Courses. The Ohio Basic Economic Development Course is THE intensive training experience for economic development practitioners, community leaders, local government officials, and others committed to building healthy economies for their communities. OEDI will offer five Core Courses that cover the necessary skills for economic development professionals, including Business Retention and Expansion, Finance and Incentives, Real Estate Development, Workforce and Talent, and Site Development and Site Selection.
Resilience Announces Expansion and Creates New Jobs in West Chester
Resilience US, Inc. (formerly AstraZeneca), announced that it expects to create 274 full-time positions, generating $15 million in new annual payroll and retaining $27.2 million in existing payroll, as a result of its expansion project in West Chester Township. Resilience is a biomanufacturing company specializing in the production of novel medicine. The proposed project includes the renovation of their current facility to operate more effectively for increased production staff to further their goal of implementing efficient manufacturing processes and supply chain solutions to improve access to their pharmaceuticals and therapies.

Transportation Budget Vote Today; Operating Budget Still in House
The $13.5 billion transportation budget, HB 23, is scheduled for floor votes in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate today after being reported by the Conference Committee on HB 23 Wednesday evening. The transportation budget must be signed into law by March 31 so both chambers must now move quickly to meet the deadline.
