JobsOhio, the state’s economic development corporation, recently expanded its regional network to support its mission of helping companies and talent thrive in Ohio. The JobsOhio network is comprised of regional economic development partners throughout the state, which collectively work to attract and support domestic and international companies in partnership with county and local experts.

In April, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and JobsOhio announced the addition of a new JobsOhio network region as Lake to River Economic Development. The new four-county region includes Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties in the eastern corner of Ohio. State Route 11 connects the region from Lake Erie in Ashtabula to the Ohio River in East Liverpool, providing strong infrastructure capabilities.

Lake to River joins the other six JobsOhio Network Partners, Dayton Development Coalition, Ohio Southeast, One Columbus, REDI Cincinnati, Regional Growth Partnership, and Team NEO. The region, anchored by Youngstown, is a major metro media market and was the largest combined statistical area in Ohio without its own JobsOhio region. The addition of the Lake to River region builds off the success of Team NEO and completes the JobsOhio network.

Lake to River is dedicated to generating sustainable economic growth for Eastern Ohio through site development, business attraction and retention, marketing, and strategic infrastructure enhancement. Project management, talent acquisition, and research services will boost regional corporate investments and growth. The region offers a diversified economy rooted in advanced manufacturing, automotive, food sciences and agriculture, logistics and distribution, and shale energy and petrochemicals.
