The US Department of Transportation (US DOT) on June 29, 2017 issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity for small and large projects through its new program, the Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant program. This program is a replacement for the FASTLANE program. The emphasis of INFRA is leveraging non-federal funding, particularly projects and have a public-private partnership.

April Event Brings Small Businesses and Government Buyers Together

Small businesses will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with government buyers at the local, state and federal level in April at the 2020 Ohio Business Matchmaker.

The largest small business-to-government contracting event in the state will kick off with a networking reception Tuesday, April 28, at Wright State University’s Nutter Center, 3640 Colonel Glenn Highway, Dayton, Ohio 45324. The Ohio Business Matchmaker’s main “matchmaking” event will take place Wednesday, April 29.

Dayton-made ‘American Factory’ Wins Oscar for Fuyao Documentary

On Sunday evening, the Dayton-made documentary “American Factory” took home the Academy Award for best documentary feature.

Filmmakers Steve Bognar and Julia Reichert accepted the Oscar for their film about Chinese auto glass maker Fuyao Glass America’s revival of a former General Motors plant with the creation of over 2,000 jobs in Moraine.
