County of Summit Director of Community and Economic Development

The County of Summit Director of Community and Economic Development is responsible for overseeing the County’s Division of Economic Development, Division of Community Development, and Division of GIS and Planning. The Director reports directly to the Chief of Staff of the County Executive and oversees a staff of approximately 20 employees. The Director is responsible for both the development of strategic policies and initiatives, as well as the day-to-day operation of the Department. In overseeing the Department and driving economic development for the County, the Director is required to practically apply his or her knowledge of the economic development system to improve current practices, develop new and innovative programs, and address complex issues facing the County’s residents and businesses.

Economic Development Manager – City of Grove City

Appointed by the Mayor in consultation with the Administrative Assistant, the Economic Development Manager, working under the overall direction of the Development Director is responsible for economic development activities as they relate to business retention and recruitment, business development, economic development incentive structures, special project planning, administering current planning efforts and processes, assisting in the administration of economic development activities, supervising consultants, preparation of detailed reports and analysis, writing codes, drafting legislation, assembling and maintaining detailed records.

Executive Director, Norwalk Economic Development Corporation

The Norwalk Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Executive Director who will develop and implement economic development strategies for the Norwalk area.

In addition to managing and leading NEDC’s economic development team, the Director will conduct outreach activities to recruit new businesses and encourage the retention and expansion of existing businesses in the Norwalk area. Participating and leading local workforce development groups and initiatives will be a key component of the Director’s responsibilities.

Accounting Administrator of Community Development Financial Operations – Development Finance Authority of Summit County

Under general direction, performs the general accounting and finance functions for the Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR) and Western Reserve Community Fund (WRCF), two private non-profit community focused financing entities managed by the DFA. This includes preparing and compiling financial reports, budgets, and working on several organizational audits. Performs financial recording – including accounts payable and receivable for multiple entities. Works closely with borrowers, investors, and other partners to ensure asset quality. Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Executive Director – The Community Improvement Corporation of Henry County Ohio

The Community Improvement Corporation of Henry County Ohio seeks a dynamic leader responsible for developing, directing and administering the economic development functions for Henry County Ohio. The Executive Director is to enhance the economic vitality of the county through the implementation and oversight of programs and initiatives that will attract new businesses and encourage expansion and retention of existing businesses, in order to promote a sustainable economic base within the County.
