The City of Painesville, OH (pop. 20,360) is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Economic Development Director. This position is integral to the development of Painesville and works closely with the City Manager to facilitate residential, commercial and industrial development using a strategic approach. The position is responsible for planning, coordinating and tracking all economic development activities within the City. Includes carrying out community business promotions, site marketing, and business attraction/retention activities. Responsible for complex economic development duties related to the implementation of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Downtown Master Plan and Economic Development Strategy. We currently have extensive interest in Downtown Historic Painesville and along the Richmond Street Corridor. Includes some evening and weekend work. Salary range from $68,162 up to $90,000 plus excellent benefits.
