Economic Development Specialist
Administer various economic development programs and multiple projects. Must be detail-oriented, with strong oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Knowledge of tax incentive programs essential including enterprise zone and community reinvestment areas. Provide research on certain contracts including demographics, statistics, maps and reports. Knowledge of Community Improvement Corporations and experience with CAGIS a plus. Experience (2-5) years, and Bachelors degree in a related field required. Valid Ohio driver’s license necessary. Some travel may be required. Salary DOQ.
Established in 1983, HCDC, Inc. (https://hcdc.com/, formerly Hamilton County Development Co. Inc.), is a non-profit organization that helps build businesses and promote job creation in three ways: businesses incubation, business lending, and economic development services. HCDC staffs and runs the Hamilton County Economic Development Office.

Ohio’s 2022-2023 budget recently signed by Governor DeWine, allocates $500 million in new brownfield funding. Funding will be administered by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) which must adopt rules for allocation of brownfield funding and the demolition program. The rules will determine project eligibility and administration of the program.read more
