Now’s the time to Tune up your BRE Program and Take advantage of Early Bird Discounts
OEDI’s Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Course is taking place May 25 – 26, in Dublin, Ohio. The course is an intensive two-day in person course that focuses on how economic developers work with companies to help them succeed, grow and expand in their community. The course uses instruction from experienced practitioners that is enhanced with experiential learning activities, panels, case studies, and guest speakers.
In this course, participants will gain a strong understanding of how to create, implement and manage a new BRE program as well as how to refine and enhance an existing one to keep pace with business and industry changes that inform BRE strategies. This includes connecting companies to vital resources within the community and at the state level, leveraging JobsOhio sector team efforts, and collaborating with nearby communities.
Early-bird and multiple course discounts are available. Early Bird Discounts expire April 7.
Students who take the BRE course can earn AICP / CM credits and credits towards the OhioCED Economic Development Certification.
OEDI Core Courses are taught in partnership with JobsOhio. The Ohio University Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs is OEDI’s Educational Partner.
