OEDA has many interesting and dynamic professional development sessions coming up soon. Be sure to check out the following:
- Economic Development Tools Webinars: Our OEDA / Bricker Webinar on CRA and Enterprise Zone tax incentives is coming up on June 6, from 9:30 to 11am, followed soon there after by the Webinar on Joint Economic Development Districts on July 11, 2022. These webinars provide an update on Ohio’s most popular programs, as well as basic “how to” perspective at the practical level.
- The popular one-day in person session on Economic Impact Analysis will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in partnership with Ohio University and Bowling Green State University in Perrysburg, Ohio. On July 22, we will be conducting the Fiscal Impact Analysis course on Friday, July 22 in partnership with Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Our third course on ROI and Gap Analysis for Incentives will take place Friday, September 2nd.
- OEDA’s Core Courses continue with the Real Estate Development Course on June 23 – 23, taking place at the Ohio University Dublin Campus.
Finally, be sure to Save the Date for the Housing & Economic Development Convening, taking place on October 3 as a Pre-Con to OEDA’s Annual Summit. This conference is being conducted in partnership with the American Planning Association Ohio Chapter, Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, and Enterprise.
All of OEDA’s courses offer OhioCED credit. Many offer AICP Continuing Education Credit as well.

OAQDA and Ohio EPA Collaborate to Pursue Federal Funding: What You Should Know
As part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) passed in 2022, a new federal program was created that provides great opportunity for Ohio – the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). It allocates $27 billion in financial assistance through three programs to reduce harmful air pollutants, mobilize financing and private capital, and deliver benefits for low-income and disadvantaged communities.
