Port Authority Hosts Regional Meeting

(WILMINGTON, OHIO) The Clinton County Port Authority (Port Authority) hosted the first quarterly meeting for the Dayton Development Coalition’s (DDC) region, bringing together Economic Development leaders from the 14-county region. Joining them were representatives from several of the region’s Workforce Development offices, colleges, and other workforce development professionals.

Economic Development Liaison to Shelby & Northern Richland County

The Richland Community Development Group (RCDG), an affiliate of the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, is seeking an Economic Development Liaison to Shelby & Northern Richland County. This position has been developed in collaborative partnership with the Shelby Community Improvement Corporation (CIC). CIC has worked closely with the City of Shelby and other key stakeholders to develop an Economic Development Action Plan for the Shelby community. Creating this position is a key outcome of that work to put a greater emphasis on the need for business growth and expansion in the Shelby area and all of northern Richland County (including Plymouth).

Economic Development Specialist

Administer various economic development programs and multiple projects. Must be detail-oriented, with strong oral and written communication skills and computer skills. Knowledge of tax incentive programs essential including enterprise zone and community reinvestment areas. Provide research on certain contracts including demographics, statistics, maps and reports. Knowledge of Community Improvement Corporations and experience with CAGIS a plus. Experience (2-5) years, and Bachelors degree in a related field required. Valid Ohio driver’s license necessary. Some travel may be required. Salary DOQ.
