Economic Development Program Associate – Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership & Public Affairs

This position requires a flexible, team player who will assist faculty, professional staff, & students w/technical assistance, applied research, data compilation/analysis, project administration, oral presentations, & report writing in the area of community & economic development. Position will directly apply knowledge of local & state economic development policies & tools specific to OH. As such, the position requires a familiarity & experience with Port Authorities, Special Improvement Districts, Joint Economic Development Districts, tax abatement/credit programs, enterprise bond funds, grant programs, & other tools available to support economic development efforts in OH.

Dayton Development Coalition welcomes Ohio governor, celebrates 25th anniversary

The Dayton Development Coalition celebrated its 25th anniversary at its 2018 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, honoring the regional collaboration that drives the organization’s work.

The sold-out gathering of 500 community and business leaders featured a keynote address from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, as well as comments from Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted. The event kicked off with a speech from DDC president and CEO Jeff Hoagland, who touted the region’s job growth.
