The Director of Business Development, Manufacturing has 5-10 years of related business or economic development experience working with manufacturing companies. This highly visible position in the community is comfortable working with corporate CEOs and other business decision-makers, as well as engaging with local economic development leaders, higher education, elected officials and other stakeholders.
The George V. Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University is seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Research Associate who will assist a multidisciplinary team of faculty, professional staff, and students with applied research, data analysis, project management, oral presentations, report/grant writing, and related tasks in the areas of energy policy and economic development. The position will directly apply knowledge of energy policy/planning, electric utility regulation, sustainability, and economic/workforce development, specific to Ohio and the Midwest region. Governor Jon Husted announced the launch of the Industry Sector Partnership Grant program which was established by HB 2 and funded in the state operating budget (HB 166). A new program — the Ohio Maritime Assistance Program program — is providing funding to ports along the Ohio River and Lake Erie or businesses within ports.
The Program began accepting applications from ports in late January and will continue through March 27. The program is making available $11 million through June 30 and an additional $12 million for the 12 months ending June 30, 2021.
