Data Scientist-Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership & Public Affairs-Athens, OH

The George V. Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University is seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Data Scientist who will assist a multidisciplinary team of faculty, professional staff, and students with applied research, data analysis, project management, oral presentations, report/grant writing, and related tasks in the areas of energy policy and economic development. This position will contribute to and support applied and original economic research in line with the Voinovich school’s mission of providing research-based solutions to challenges existing in communities, the economy, and the environment with a particular focus on Appalachian Ohio.

Transit Planner – Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association

The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA) has an immediate opening for a Transit Planner to implement and manage OMEGA’s Coordinated Human Services Transportation Pilot Program. A Bachelor’s Degree in city/regional planning or related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience is required. A Master’s Degree or Program Management experience may substitute for the three-year experience requirement.  AICP certification is preferred, but not required. 

Director of Business Development, Stark & Summit Counties

The Director of Business Development – Stark & Summit Counties has 5-10 years of related business or economic development experience working with companies. This highly visible position in these two communities is comfortable working with corporate CEOs and other business decision-makers, as well as engaging with local economic development leaders, higher education, elected officials and other stakeholders. The director is a self-starter and conducts business outreach calling on targeted companies and executes the supporting tactics for superior customer experience for companies. Because of Northeast Ohio’s many organizations involved in business outreach and cluster activities, the director must be adept at collaborating with and leveraging these disparate resources.

Director of Partnerships and Engagement

The Director of Partnerships and Engagement develops, executes, and evaluates JobsOhio and Team NEO’s engagement strategy for Greater Cleveland and throughout Northeast Ohio with both elected and non-elected officials, associations, trade groups, and economic development partners. This person represents both organization’s interests to achieve favorable strategic outcomes and mitigate risks; serves as advisor to the senior leadership team and proposes continuous improvement strategies; builds and maintains exceptional external and internal relationships; This role will also place emphasis on working in Northeast Ohio communities to assist with goal setting, planning, and securing resources so that distressed communities can build a base from which to have greater competitiveness and economic development successes.
