Governor Mike DeWine announced that the administration is issuing a statewide curfew that takes effect on Thursday, November 19. Under the curfew, individuals are to be at home from 10PM until 5AM. The curfew lasts for 21 days. The Governor previously signaled he was considering closing in-person dining at bars and restaurants as daily case counts crept up over 8,000 per day.

American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP) has promoted Timothy J. Wells to vice president, Sales, Economic and Business Development, effective Nov. 2, 2020. Wells replaces Mark James who retired last month.
Wells, 55, will lead AEP’s efforts to attract new commercial and industrial customers to its service territory and help existing customers take advantage of AEP’s growing menu of business consultation services. AEP has unique expertise in the energy field and has become a trusted energy advisor to many of its larger customers. Wells will be responsible for leading growth in services that fall outside of the distribution and transmission of electricity, in addition to helping communities bring new jobs to their local economies.

A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public administration or related field and/or a minimum of five years experience in finance is required. Amid record setting daily case numbers of COVID-19 and dangerous levels of hospitalizations, Governor DeWine addressed the state on Wednesday, November 11. During the speech (prepared remarks), the Governor began by confirming that the state remains in a state of emergency because of the pandemic. He then announced the administration will issue a revised mask order with new requirements for retail businesses and creating a new Retail Compliance Unit, charged with enforcing the revised mask order.
