The next phase of the vision for the four quadrants at Martin Luther King and Reading Road is scheduled to start soon. Demolition of the southwest quadrant will begin in October, making the area “pad ready” for future development by the end of 2022.

Misty Crosby has been named senior executive in residence for local government services with the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, beginning Monday, Sept. 12, 2022. Crosby, who most recently served as executive director of Buckeye Hills Regional Council in Marietta, has stepped down from her position as regional Trustee to pursue this new role with the University.

The Columbiana County Port Authority recently completed three expansion projects for Columbiana County river terminals in the first round of the Ohio Dept. of Transportation Maritime Assistance Program grant. Through the securing of the grant, with a 50% match of funds, the recipients were able to complete nearly $3 million of combined projects for their business operations on the Ohio River.
