Working under the direction of the Manager of Community Development and alongside the Community Development division staff, the employee is responsible for administering the implementation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs and projects as well as various other development initiatives to enhance the quality of life for Euclidians.

The Executive Director is the chief executive officer of the Galion Port Authority (GPA) and is authorized to execute a broad range of economic development programs, The Executive Director is responsible for implementing goals, policies, and budgets, and providing leadership and strategic tactical direction for staff and resources toward the accomplishment of the GPA’s mission. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of all Galion Port Authority activities.
The Executive Director reports directly to the Port Board of Directors; guided by state statutory requirements, approved Port policies and strategic objectives, and authorized budgets and programs.

This position works under the general guidance and direction of the Development Director and exercises supervision over code enforcement staff. The township planner is responsible for administration and enforcement of the townships zoning, property maintenance, nuisance and dangerous property resolutions along with day-to-day operation of the code enforcement staff and operations including providing support to the general public, applicants, developers and others in need of assistance with zoning, property maintenance, nuisance, proposals and applications.
