Development Program Manager – City of Columbus, Department of Development

This position will manage the City of Columbus Tax Increment Financing (TIF) program. The incumbent activities include tracking TIF revenues, initiating TIF payments, preparing all required reporting for TIFs, and formulating any proposed new TIF’s within the framework of the Department’s goals and objectives. This position will also take an active role in managing some of the Department’s Public Private Partnership (P3) projects. These projects are complex business and real estate investments that require the coordination of public and private sector investments. This position, following training and mentoring from leadership, will take a leadership role within the Economic Development Division in formulating P3 projects across the City.

Business Development Specialist – City of Columbus, Department of Development

This is an entry level position within the Economic Development Division that is focused on recruiting businesses to expand, relocate, or consolidate business operations in the City. This position will meet with businesses, consultants, site selectors, etc. to ascertain needs for business growth and development. The incumbent will help to eliminate barriers for business growth within the City and where appropriate, recommend to City leadership business incentive packages to help existing businesses expand and recruit new businesses to Columbus.
