Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Some evening, weekend and over-night travel may be required.
Job Description Under general direction; assists in implementing and coordinating special projects or programs for the department or agency; researches and recommends programs, projects or operational functions of the department or agency; represents the department head at various meetings; develops support documents, legislation, reports related to the assigned program or project. Performs other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications

Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed below.

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science or related discipline, plus two (2) years experience with a governmental agency.

Preferred Qualifications

•May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visions, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Licensing/Certification •Requires a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator’s license, if utilization of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions is required.
•Must maintain current licenses, if applicable.

Description of Job Duty

The duties listed below are intended to depict tasks performed by this classification.

Assists in implementing, coordinating and participating in special projects, programs as requested or required of the agency or department head; inters data into specialized computer assist programs in support of duties and project/program activities; prepares reports of project activity; communicates program/project initiatives, progress, governing policy and procedures to authorities, participating clients, and the general public.

Specific project work includes:
•Manage the Elevate Greater Akron Mid-Market Business Retention and Relationship Portfolio
•Assist with Site Selection research
•Assist with managing and updating Salesforce Records for Economic Development Projects
•Assist with managing and updating Zoom Prospector Property Records displayed on County Economic Development Website

Represents department/agency and speaks to and/or project; may conduct related training or informational type seminars; drafts support legislation and coordinates with program managers, department head or the Appointing Authority.
