Fremont, Ohio – The Brown Machine Group has elected to transition all thermoform tooling production to its Freeman Company facility in Fremont, Ohio. The decision was based on Freeman’s existing capabilities, workforce, and outstanding reputation as the premiere thermoform tooling builder in the US. “Customers often place initial orders with Freeman based on our facility and advanced capabilities, they become long term repeat customers because of our people and the unprecedented service and support we provide” stated Mike Mullholand, General Manager of the Freeman Company.

PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio, Sept. 3, 2019 – Owens Community College announced last week it received a $1 million investment from Dana Incorporated (NYSE: DAN) for the new Dana Advanced Manufacturing Training Center. The new facility will help address the shortage in skilled workers throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. The announcement kicks off a capital fundraising campaign to support the initiative.

“The Eastgate Regional Council of Governments is seeking to retain the services of an Economic Recovery Coordinator or Economic Recovery Coordination Team (“Coordinator”) to develop and implement an economic recovery strategy to recover from the recent closure at the Lordstown General Motors assembly plant. The Coordinator will work with Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, Cleveland State University, and local stakeholders to develop and implement a plan to assist the Mahoning Valley respond to the challenges it faces with the closure of the GM Lordstown assembly plant and subsequent related industry closures”.
