Tiffin-Seneca Micropolitan Ranks 4th Nationally for Economic Development

Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership and the Fostoria Economic Development Corp. jointly announced today that Seneca County has placed No. 4 nationally in Site Selection magazine’s rankings for large, private economic development projects out of the 581 micropolitans in the US. Site Selection has been annually ranking states and cities since 1978 and top non-metro counties with an urban center between 10,000 and 50,000 since 2004.

Youngstown-Warren Region Realized More Than $2.9 Billion of Investment in 2020

Private companies invested more than $2.9 billion in the Valley last year, many with the help of regional economic development agencies. According to data compiled by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and its economic development partners—and published in the 2020 Economic Development Report Card—a total of 78 projects resulted in $2,956,016,640 invested, 4,191 new jobs and 1,965 retained jobs.

Macy’s Corporate Services to Bring 417 Jobs to North Jackson

Macy’s Corporate Services LLC, operating as a distribution and logistics center for Macy’s Inc. in North Jackson, has announced plans to expand at the facility to operate a fulfillment center. Macy’s will add 417 new jobs and retain 55 employees.

The project will include a $29.9 million capital investment to accommodate this growth. While corporate decision-makers evaluated other established distribution and logistics centers, they chose to leverage North Jackson’s logistical excellence and access to skilled employees.

Special Projects Coordinator – City of Euclid
