Practical, working knowledge, and a proven track record of using a wide array of economic development financing tools is expected. The ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to shape redevelopment plans for targeted areas of the City is essential.

OEDA Announces 2024 Economic Development Basic & Core Courses

The Ohio Economic Development Institute (OEDI) has announced the 2024 schedule of economic development Basic and Core Courses. The Ohio Basic Economic Development Course is THE intensive training experience for economic development practitioners, community leaders, local government officials, and others committed to building healthy economies for their communities. OEDI will offer five Core Courses that cover the necessary skills for economic development professionals, including Business Retention and Expansion, Finance and Incentives, Real Estate Development, Workforce and Talent, and Site Development and Site Selection.

Manager, Early Stage Investment Funds – Ohio Department of Development

As the Manager, Early Stage Investment Funds, you will primarily be responsible for the administration of the Ohio Third Frontier Pre-Seed Fund Capitalization Program, the SSBCI Ohio Early Stage Focus Fund, and the SSBCI Ohio Venture Fund. These programs are designed to support Ohio tech-based companies by helping to increase the amount of early-stage capital invested in Ohio technology-based companies, accelerate the growth of high-potential companies, and create a climate that supports the development, retention, and attraction of technology companies in Ohio. The programs provide loans to professionally-managed investment funds, which then invest in early-stage technology companies throughout Ohio.
