Leader of Local Economic Development Group to Retire, Successor Named

PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) – The leader of one of the Dayton area’s largest economic development groups is retiring. A successor already has been named.

Brenda Latanza, director of the Preble County Development Partnership (PCDP), has announced her retirement effective July 1. Latanza has led Preble County’s development efforts, including retention and expansion of existing businesses, business recruitment, workforce development, regional and national marketing, and community development activities since February 2015.

The furniture store is joining Ohio’s Butler County Donut Trail in honor of National Donut Day.

For most counties, having an official 80-mile “Donut Trail” encompassing 13 self-described “mom-and-pop donut shops” would be enough. But Ohio’s Butler County — which established its trail back in 2015 — wants more. And in honor of National Donut Day on June 3, the county is putting a Swedish jewel in its crown, teaming up with none other than Ikea for a special stop on the trail and featuring an actual Swedish meatball donut.

Major Projects Intern – Greater Cleveland Partnership

The GCP Major Projects Intern will be primarily responsible for supporting the Major Projects team’s work in the development of the Downtown Cleveland Digital Model and assisting in the coordination of the Downtown Visioning effort. This work will include research, documentation, and organization of critical information related to major real estate development projects, infrastructure investment, and planning efforts taking place within the defined Central Business District.

GA Telesis, LLC, a global aviation services integrator, and Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATSG), a leading provider of aircraft leasing and air cargo transportation and related services, announced they have reached an agreement with the Clinton County Port Authority (CCPA), JobsOhio, and the Ohio Department of Development to open a 72,000 sq. ft. Specialized Procedures Aeroengine Hospital (SPAH) at the Wilmington Air Park in southwestern Ohio.
