Community Grants Specialist – Home Office in Ohio

Administer grant and loan programs for community development and infrastructure projects, including Community Development Block Grants, Economic Development Administration grants, and other state and federal sources of funding.  Assist communities with qualifying and applying for funding.

Required bachelor’s degree in an area of study related to public administration, urban planning, non-profit management, accounting, or business management. Must have three years’ experience in Community Development Block Grant administration; and five years’ experience working with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook; MS Teams and SharePoint experience preferred.

Planner I – Miami County Ohio

Under general direction, performs complex and confidential administrative duties related to the implementation of the Miami County Zoning Resolution, Subdivision Regulations, and Flood Plain Management Regulations; prepares various written material requiring analytical thinking and maps for staff reports, correspondence, and other documents; may prepare or assist in the preparation of inter-office communications, agendas, forms, minutes, etc. from rough drafts or electronic recordings; composes routine responses for own signature and signature of department head; assists in preparing schedules and calendar for zoning related actions; works with, interprets, and advises customers at counter in matters relating to zoning, flood plain, and subdivision policies; exercises independent judgment in implementation of department policies and procedures; manages special zoning and planning projects related to position; assists in developing office procedures for the department; coordinates department activities with other offices as assigned (e.g., Prosecuting Attorney, Auditor, Health Department, Soil and Water Conservation, Sanitary Engineering, County Engineer, etc.).
