Save the date for the 2018 Ohio Basic Economic Development Course! The four-day course will be held April 10-13, 2018 at the Columbus Marriott Northwest, 5605 Blazer Parkway, Dublin, OH 43017. The Ohio Basic Course is an intensive training experience for economic development practitioners, community leaders, local government officials and others committed to building healthy economies for their communities.
Provides economic development and research assistance to internal and external clients, economic development organizations, state, county and local government entities as well as not-for-profit, for-profit and project clients. Participates in project strategies, planning, development, coordination, and management. Performs a variety of administrative duties related to project management and tracking. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong customer service skills.
The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA) has an opening for a Communications Manager. A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public administration or related field and/or a minimum of five years experience in communications, public relations or public administration is required. The selected candidate will be responsible for communication with the public, membership, legislature, and media. Knowledge of advanced features of Constant Contact is preferred.

Activities include, but are not limited to: (1) fostering relationships with existing and prospective workforce development partners; (2) promote opportunities in Licking County; (3) facilitating the development and implementation of GROW Licking County’s Business Retention & Expansion program; (4) collaborating with the GROW Licking County executive director in responding to economic development opportunities from internal and external sources as well as (5) pursuing the achievement of the county’s overall economic growth goals.
